Levels & Types of Classes:

Anusara Basics offers a safe, gentle introduction to alignment, form, breathing & spirit of the practice. Basic postures taught, no previous experience required. Drop-ins welcome although classes will follow a progressive sequence.

Anusara Level 1: Learn basic yoga postures, philosophy and alignment in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Suitable for beginners or practitioners new to the Anusara style. Drop-ins welcome.

Anusara Levels 1 & 2 classes offer strong level 1/moderate level 2 classes in a progressive sequence that teaches the fundamental principles of Anusara.

Body Dance: Body dance is a creative movement class combining Pilates, Yoga, Body-Mind Centering, and Dance. This class will strengthen the body’s core and access the glandular “power centers” through meditation in motion. (specific for women)

Expressive Arts Yoga Classes for girls will explore relationship building using arts & crafts, yoga, dance and our voices. This playful class will integrate yogic philosophy, Body-Mind Centering, and relational girls psychology as developed by Carol Gilligan. 10 week series, October through mid-Dec. Gentle Kripalu: Safe, nurturing and peaceful, this class is excellent for beginners or advanced students needing a slow paced class. We will gently warm up the body to improve circulation, and explore postures that quiet the nervous system and refresh the body with energy and clarity of mind. Focusing also on breathing techniques, restorative postures and meditation, this class is the perfect antidote to stress. Come be soothed. Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm Drop-ins always welcome.

Mixed Level Iyengar This class will focus on various types of yoga postures: standing poses, forward bends, backbends, and restorative poses. Inversions will be practiced each week. For students who have been practicing yoga for at least 6 months. Drop-ins welcome.

Natural Eyesight Improvement class: In SEE VISTA's Natural Eyesight Improvement classes, students re-learn the correct habits of natural seeing. These are the same habits that people with perfect sight use all day long. Natural vision improvement students practice proper vision habits for computers, TV, driving, and other work and leisure activities. Class participants also study Bates' facts on natural eyesight based on years of original research. In the end, students understand how sight CAN improve and remain clear.

Tai chi is the study of change and a path to living well, loving well and letting go easily. Dorian Gregory is a certified martial arts and self-defense instructor with almost 20 years teaching, offering classes and private instruction in various types of meditative and martial movement for health and self-defense. She is currently immersed in an intensive study of the full traditional Yang Style Taijiquan curriculum and would be delighted to have you join her in this study. Her teaching is fun, energetic and simple. In this class we are studying the Yang Style Bare-hand Long Form and Basic Push Hand Drills. Call to register. Vigorous Vinyasa: This high intensity class is best for people with some yoga experience or basic core and upper body strength. We will delve into backbending, deep hip openers and hamstring stretches, while improving balance and practicing more advanced inversions. Cardiovascular, but peaceful; the body is strengthened, stretched, softened and then restored. Come prepared to work up a sweat and say hello to your muscles. Mondays 6:15-7:45pm. Drop-ins always welcome.

Vinyasa Flow: This moderate level class for people with or without yoga experience teaches students to coordinate the breath with the flow of postures. Modifications are offered and the use of props is encouraged to find balance and explore flowing dynamically into postures and holding for extended periods of time. Improve flexibility, gain strength and soften the body. Come learn to truly breath and reunite with your flexible, organic, graceful body. Monday 5:00-6:00pm. Drop-ins always welcome.

Cost:

Cost of weekly classes: Students pay their individual teachers.

  • Back Care Clinic: $75 for the month or $20 individual sessions
  • 90 minute classes: $90/8 week series or $14 drop-in
  • 75 minute classes: $85/8weeks or $13 drop-in
  • 60 minute classes: $80/8 week series or $12 drop-in
  • 75 minute classes: $68/6weeks or $13 drop-in
  • Lynn Kingston's classes: $15, drop-ins only
  • Student rates and work exchange available upon request.

Make-up Policy

Students are welcome to make up Yoga classes in any level and time appropriate class providing there is space available and make-ups are completed within 4 weeks of having missed classes. Under certain circumstances, students are able to pro-rate for class series'.
